I started out with a sewing machine/embroidery combo and have added a serger and coverstitch and upgraded my machine. I save pics from boutique pages and make all of my own shirts and leggings. We won’t talk about how much money I spend on fabric. 😱😱 I can give you a lot of sites for patterns and fabric, if you’d like.

For patterns, don’t even bother with the paper patterns that you can buy in stores. There a ton of PDF pattern sites that you print yourself and they have excellent tutorials. A few of my favorites are Made for Mermaids, Patterns for Pirates, New Horizons, Love Notions, GreenStyleCreations, CKC, Ellie and Mac, and Striped Swallow. Join their FB groups also and check the announcements, as most of them have codes for free patterns. Let me know if you need any help, I would be happy to help!
