When should I stop offering formula and move onto cows milk? Last week I noticed I needed to get some more formula and my mum said I should just use it up and then go onto cows milk now. He’s usually quite particular about his formula so I started sneeking an ounce here and there of cows milk and he’s not noticed it. His bottles are about half and half now but I’ve only got 1 or 2 days left of formula. Should I just use it up and move him onto cows milk or keep him on formula till he’s 1? He’s 1 in 2 weeks🤗

I just swapped when I ran out of powder around 11.5 months. No issues at all xx
just use what's left of his formula then move on to cows milk, that's what i did xx
Can't see it being a problem 🤷♀️ I think alot of people can be over cautious about these types of things. I switched Chelsea over after a week of having half formula half cows milk and she was fine. That was the week before she turned one. Xx
I know! I’m scared to change anything in his diet as he always gets quite bad constipation so I’ve been too scared to just change it in case it gets worse so that’s why I’ve been sneaking it in gradually. xx
@kathleenc I get it. Chelsea was the same and still gets a bit constipated now and again. Their poor little faces when they're trying to go breaks your heart aswell doesnt it 😩 xx
@colls2018, It really does💔 It was so bad last week he was purposely holding it in because he knew it was going to hurt to do it😕 We got some laxative for him last week that seems to be working for now so fingers crossed the formula change won’t upset his tummy!🤞🏼
Adam loveddd his formula and i just went for the sudden change he was fine no problems atal apart from he was onto the fact it wasnt his milk and refused till i realised he wanted it warmed up more and then he loved that just as much he stil has 3 8oz bottles 😂 xx
I’ve noticed since I started sneaking cows milk into his bottles he’s been wanting them warmer too!😂
That's what I did. Around 11-12m I just finished off what I had. I never mixed them half and half but as you've been doing that he's used to having cows milk in his system so it'll just be if he notices the difference once it's just cows milk 😂
I think if I just have him a bottle of cows milk he’d probably just take it but I wasn’t sure if it’d upset his tummy with a sudden change. xx
I would start doing part formula and part cows milk. Changing suddenly could upset his stomach x
Yeah I’ve been doing that for a week. His down to about 2oz-3oz formula and the rest cows milk. Hopefully he’ll not notice too much😂
I would just swap over when the current tub is finished
