Sorry busy night here. I'm gonna shoot some ideas at you. I love pencil skirts and adored them even more during pregnancy.
That being said... see how she ties the button down I loved this over a bump. You can even get like one of those tight maternity dresses instead of a skirt and do the same tie above the bump. You can do a plaid button down or play with skirt dresses or patterns. As far had your husband putting a button down or flannel under a sweater is a nice layering look. Here's two cute green outfits for the girls.

Something like this you can do a plaid top with a black skirt and hubs can do a plaid button dow to match if it's too much plaid do the sweater over it for him so his collar at the top pulls the theme together
