Do you think a rapist or child molester can change? Had this conversation with a friend earlier and he thinks they need counseling instead of jail time. He sees it as the same as sex addition.

I think all child molesters and rapeat needs to be sentenced to @112_ocean_ave country!!!!! Ain't shit gonna change them sick mfs! And anyone that feels different I would be iffy about. They deserve every damn thing they have coming to then including a hot pitchfork up their ass. Let the victim torture them before death sentence. They sweet babies life is snatched from them so they shouldnt even get the chance to breath anymore
This is going to be such a touchy subject.. Im sure most women on here have known, know or have been a victim of child molestation. I'm just speaking for my immediate family when I say this-- I think child molestation or rape is inexcusable. Its on the same page as death in my book.. Why? Bc once that child has been through that, their innocents is lost, the world is a scary place for them and they will NEVER be the same. The molestor has essentially killed a part of that child's life that they will work the rest of their lives to try and get back. I speak from experience on this. I also have family members who are child molesters and they are no longer family in my eyes. They will never meet my children or have the chance to do anything to harm them. They are nonexistent to me. I get hated on from disowning "family members" but at least I can sleep at night knowing I'm doing right by my children. If someone touched one of my kids, rehab or forgiveness would be the LAST thing on my mind.

I refuse to allow anything in my home. I occasionally have alcohol but its not an everyday thing. How I was "rasied" taught me exactly what NOT to do as a parent. We do better.
Nope! Those thoughts will never disappear. They may or may not act on it but the way of thinking is still there.

I think you need to go to jail when you do things to children. Not saying they don't need counseling that may help. My grandma was molested by her brother he got out at some point and did it to another child. They don't deserve a slap on the wrist. If someone did this that I knew I wouldn't have nothing to do with them ever again.
I think I have my view because I worked near a sexual offender rehabilitation center. All of them are repeat offenders and they have them there to hopefully rehabilitate them and release them back to the general public. I just can’t help but to think if they were never released they wouldn’t have raped or molested anyone else. I think there needs to be tougher laws in place and if they want to try to rehabilitate them it needs to be while they are in jail and they should serves at least 10 years. Edited to add: I don’t have any sympathy for anyone like this. Their victims will have to live with this. I don’t personally think they can change.
@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts, I’m so sorry he deserves life in prison honestly. You will never have a normal life but he does. I could never in anyway harm a child and if I even had thoughts about it I would seek help rite away so no one was hurt. Again I’m sorry this happened to you.

Sex addiction is still sex between two consenting adults. No type of sexual assault being done to any adult or child should EVER be compared.
I was told I’m not very forgiving and that I was wrong for saying if someone molested my child I wouldn’t be thinking about forgiveness I’m be thinking about killing them 🤷🏾♀️. In also mad the argument that sex addition and I that are two different things.

I think they need both jail time and they need mental health help. It depends on what works for them, sometimes counseling isn’t enough. Without going into a lot of detail my grandfather molested and raped me from the age of 3-12.. a few years ago I saw him for the first time he had been out of prison. He apologized and claims what he did was wrong and he is now recovered. I don’t know to be honest if I believe that they change because they want to or if they “change” because they got caught and are afraid of going back to prison.
Most child molesters were abused themselves. It doesn't excuse the behavior but psychological rehabilitation should be done along with the punishment
That’s what happened in my situation. My grandfather was sexually abused and he says it’s something that happened generations in their family.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
Make your own breakfast! At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
Yesterday's estimated weight on my baby during the ultrasound he weighed 7lb 11oz do you think he will fit into newborn clothes the day he's born ? if he comes out at around 8lbs? Or should I take 0-3 just in case ??
I know this sounds sooo fkedup but sometimes i wanna get into a bad accident so my husband sees exactly all the things i do ... and how wrong he is by saying i don’t do enough ( not in those words but the jist of it ) anyway .... i think this all the time . Maybe then he will think differently .

I didnt read your whole post but I agree being abused isnt a excuse. So if a parent beat their kid growing up if gives that kid the right to beat their child. Hell no.my mother used drugs n alchol so that made me grow up to do neither. I drink sometimes that's it.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people who commit these types of crimes get basically a slap on the wrist. They usually end up back out on the streets after serving such a small amount of time in prison. Because of that in itself they definitely need to get some counseling and services because they will be out in the general population. They need to change a lot of stuff when it comes to the legal system. They definitely need to be punished more severely. Majority of them shouldn’t even be walking the streets.
