Moms with anxiety - how do you cope? What calms you?
Anything but medication. My anxiety is so bad I’m afraid to even take medicine 😭
I suffered with severe pp anxiety for over a year, I tried therapy and lifestyle changes but absolutely nothing worked. I finally gave in and started taking lexapro and it changed my life, I wasn’t living in constant fear and my thoughts didn’t control me anymore. I had to wean off in the third trimester but I started taking it immediately after my new baby was born. Don’t be afraid to try it, it was the best decision I made!
breathing exercises
essential oils
but honestly the meds work the best
I try to get some sort of workout in.. cardio, yoga, meditation, ect.
When I feel myself about to go over the edge I focus on my breathing.
You can try therapy. They'll give you good techniques you can use. When I wasn't on medication and felt my anxiety coming really strong I used to say the alphabet backwards in my head.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Almost lost my s*** on this rude lady...
My son threw a horrid tantrum at Target; it started in the bathroom. He was yelling and hitting me, screaming he had to potty even though he had literally just gone. After 10 minutes of him hitting me, screaming, kicking, and rolling on the floor, I yanked his pants up and had to get our quick trip done. He was kicking me and pulling my hair, so I just held onto him and whispered and tried to calm him. He's never done this before. It took 5 minutes to ...

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
