Is it against the law to keep a child away from another parent if there is an open CPS case?
Then he can keep her but must asap like now call cps . And or the police . Then go file in the morning to have this custody agreement changed .due to abuse .
Yes. if there is a custody order it must be followed unless stated otherwise. Listening to others could get him in deep shit.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice, It’s just the parenting guidelines, it applies to his order too
@shauna.johnson if it's actually in his order then he can. But he needs to double check himself. Each order is different.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice, okay, thank you!
@massgirl, she said that he should do what he feels is right to protect his child
@massgirl, many people have told him that he should do what he feels is right, and seems to be leaning towards keeping her. She came back with a huge bruise on her face, like the length of her cheek.
@shauna.johnson so if he plans to keep her he needs to take away the mothers custody. He can't just ignore the current court order. He needs to file a motion to modify the custody agreement based on abuse. I hope he took pictures of the bruise and called the police on the ex.
@massgirl, he will be going to FOC in the morning to change the order
I don't think so unless there has been a court order from cps that says other wise
Can you call the social worker that cps assigned and asked. I would tread carefully in this situation.
