Two things I've observed from tonight's Halloween parade:
1. People have zero respect when it comes to smoking in kids faces, even when repeatedly asked not to.
2. Who ever thought peanuts was a good idea as a handout for a treat did not think out the idea very well, because I can't imagine my child is the only one out of the thousands of people in attendence who is allergic to nuts.

The smoking thing has always annoyed me. Like can’t you just stand away from the groups of kids? You HAVE to walk in the crowd puffing your smoke away? & the peanuts thing is crazy, I’ve never seen that one but that’s insane. People can be pretty ignorant sometimes.

Right? Like, you want to ruin your lungs cool, doesn't mean you need to put my kid at risk as well while you do so. Especially since she was standing in the FRONT of the crowd. So her cigarette was less than 10 feet from us, and blowing right back into my kids faces. I asked her to move, and she sort of did, but still had like two cigarettes after that.
And yeah, the nut thing is so risky. The teenager next to me tried to open his and my husband had to ask him to kindly not eat them, lol.

Our parade was Saturday. My MIL was holding our youngest and I had the stroller parked behind us by a flower pot so it wouldn't be in the way. A lady stood right next to my stroller and was smoking. I shot her a dirty look and looked back a moment later and she was 5 feet away. People have no respect when it comes to smoking. As for the peanut thing, some kids can't even come into contact with them... then they can't have their candy.

Ah! My oldest got some, and I instantly gave them away. Then this boy (teenager) next to me went to eat his, and my husband had to ask him not to because he was sitting right next to my daughter and I who was allergic. His mother was also the one smoking. 😂 So they were probably really annoyed with me.
