Venting :::Worst part about this Human Development class is that I have to pick apart and describe my childhood in detail 🤦🏼♀️
I struggled for years to suppress it all (I understand how unhealthy that is) and have only just recently ventured into the world of therapy to heal from it all. This is not how I want to do this and it's stirring up a lot of crap for me. Makes these assignments super difficult on so many levels. It's exhausting 😣

Make something up. Your professor would never know the difference. Or tell the professor that you're struggling and why. I hate when professors ask to do assignments based off of personal experiences.

It's crazy literally every paper we write has to use what we learn and relate it to our own upbringing. In a way I get it it makes sense what better to apply to than something you have first hand knowledge of. But look at what were discussing. You know that not everyone has a great childhood like why as that of people.
And I'm really bad at lying and fabricating stuff lol so that would be difficult

I think it's hard, but it might be a good idea to just do it and face your childhood head on. At least you know you're dealing with it, and hopefully it'll get better from then on.
