Few times a week for my toddler unless she puts her food in her hair like she likes doing smdh lol
Bathing dosnt have nothing to do with it . You bathing her didnt cause it . If it is an ear infection . Hope she sees a doctor soon . They are so painful :(
Noone ever said their child have a ear infection and so explain hows SWIMMERS ear happens?
Hmmmmmm not only does bathing everyday cause ear infection it ALSO causes your ph balance to mess up. Washing away good bacteria. Fyi I Beth mine every other day. Unless their out side playing l.
@nouseforaname Actually, it's more common than you think. Swimmers ear. Used to happen to me all of the time. Even as an adult. Some people are prone to them moreso than others.
@mommyof1beauty, I know i found that very interesting. My kids used to her ear infections all the time. So one time this summer my 5 year old told me his ear hurt so I assumed he had an ear infection but the dr said it was swimmers ear. Then he told me that little trick. It’s because swimmers ear is from water being trapped in the ear canal. So that’s why it hurts then when u pull on the ear lobe whereas ear infections don’t hurt when the lobe is pulled because it’s in the inner ear. So now whenever my kids are swimming and they complain about ear pain I can check them myself by pulling on the lobe to see if that’s painful. May save a trip to the drs lol!! But ear infections are not caused by bathing too frequently. But it could cause swimmers ear if the head is submerged. Happy I could help out with my little fun fact haha!
@ss3mom, yes definitely very helpful. She doesn’t seem to be bothered at all when I pull on it so we will see what the doctor says. Headed there.
@mommyof1beauty, oh good luck. Does she get ear infections frequently? My kids both did all the tone and they both got tubes!! Luckily it seems Like they’ve grown out of the chronic infections!
Everyday. So much germs everywhere, even if they don’t seem dirty I feel like they feel better after a bath.
I definitely feel that way too. I feel like it lets my daughter know it’s bedtime and it sets the atmosphere for it. Just was told bathing her every night is too much
Every second day unless he's particularly dirty.
Almost daily during the summer or when the weather is nice. I let my kids play outside after dinner and they always get super dirty lol. During the winter it’s probably 4/5 times a week because my kids like to take baths. I’m sure as they get older is will become less.
Baby stage, once a week. Toddler stage, 1-2 times per week for sure/as needed. Depends what we do.
I like and enjoy my refreshing shower once sometimes twice a usually cause I work in a dirty place . But it's normal part of routine . It's like waking up and washing ur face and brushing ur teeth . I couldn't go without doing that and I feel it's more comfortable and cozy and hygienic to do so plus it gets them on a routine .
You know you dont want ur teenagers going a day without a shower .
Yea we have the same mindset. I’ve literally been doing EVERYTHING with my daughter or I have her to watch me with everything for as long as I can remember, 1. To create a routine and for 2. Because I have to being a single mom. But I always wanted her to develop a habit of these things on her own so I won’t have to force her to. But I was thinking my daughter is getting an ear infection and someone told me she might be because for one I bathe her too much.
@nouseforaname, Thank you! That solidifies my thoughts about an ear infection, but not because of bathing her!
Only 3 times a week. At a year my LO doesn’t get that dirty and it dries her skin out if I bathe her every day. My oldest is 3 and I’m just starting to give her a bath every other day.
Our water is terrible where I live. It’s like flint Michigan so I have a water filter on the faucet but still only bathe my kids every 2-3 days so twice a week
@mommyof1beauty, my kids have eczema and they don’t really get dirty, they’re home all day.
@mommyof1beauty, yeah faucet water usually isn’t that great so it’s not good to bathe your LOs every night and even if the water is good you don’t want to strip their natural germs they’re building up to better their immune system every night. If they’re visibly dirty that’s one thing but they’re young so trying to build their immune systems and bathing them every night isn’t good for that
I have a 2 year old & a 1 year old, and I bathe them every day...my kids are always outside so they get dirty
