Well the principal was held up in a meeting so she was unable to call. BUT, she made sure the guidance counselor had called as well as the teacher with her so I had spoke to both directly. I feel a little better now having spoke to them.. it was a lot of excuses at first but once I expressed that and that I had felt like that’s what it was it seemed to be handled a lot better. She was very apologetic for everything and made it clear none of it was intentional or with carelessness (even though I feel it was carelessness🙄) and just that we all need a little better communication so things like this don’t happen or so if something does happen, we can have more understanding to why it happened. I had made it clear though, if any future incidents happened that our next step would be to have her switched from the class. She explained they typically don’t do that and why but if that is the case and they refuse to switch her, it’s gonna be a REAL real problem and I’ll switch schools completely if that’s gonna be the issue. I feel a little better knowing they hear how serious I take these things and I also expressed how bad my anxiety is as is sending my kids to school with the way the world is, almost in tears explaining, and that it just makes things so much worse and harder when my child is coming home with these issues as well as hearing she sat alone crying and no one bothered to comfort her as I would if I was there. Like I told her, if Gianna was sitting on my couch with her head down crying alone, I wouldn’t ignore her and let her suffer. I’d sit and comfort her and find out her problem. If the issue was she was sick, she would get medicine or a doctor appointment, not ignored. And IF I ignored it, that’s neglect. You can’t refuse to treat your child when they’re sick so how can a teacher? If I sent my child to school with her shoes flopping off and she said my mom said don’t worry about it you’re fine, I’m sure I’d get a phone call because I’d look like a bad mom. So how can a teacher do it? Point is, if I can’t do it without it being a problem then a teacher DAMN SURE should not. And if I’m supposed to trust these people with my children when I can’t be there, then I need to know the same standards, if not HIGHER, should be held. Hopefully, this was the final situation and nothing like this happens again in the future because even if they don’t think so, we’re still playing nice. But it’s gonna get ugly if that’s what it comes to. I will go to war again and again for my kids, nothing will stop or change that and I will ALWAYS have my child’s back regardless.

Idk what happened but if its a public school then go to the superintendent and explain the situation. Also did you get an incident report written and what was stated and talked about in the meeting? If not go back and request one, otherwise its your word against theirs. I learned this after hiring a lawyer for my cousin. Never leave without a report written that both you and the principle signed.

It was all over the phone so it wasn’t an option to have anything signed. Nothing happened serious enough to where we needed to take it that far for an incident report or for needing an attorney but I’m glad I know this Incase of a future incident because I didn’t know that at all. It is a public school so it’s good to have that knowledge. Thank you!!

I feel so bad for your daughter. That poor little thing. I'd be ready to kill that teacher if I were you

I was sooooo irritated. But I felt she really did feel sorry for what happened and I feel she now knows my kid is the wrong one to be fucking with like that so get her shit together or else lol.

What happened if you don’t mind sharing? I’ve had a lot of issues with my kids and school, I had a teacher charged last year. I am sick with anxiety every time I send my kids to school and would love to homeschool but it’s just not realistic right now.

I feel that I would love to homeschool. I just explained that today that I have bad anxiety sending them already so it doesn’t help when my fears are confirmed when she gets home every week. I can’t keep taking problem after problem, it breaks the trust and you have to trust the school to a point so if there’s no trust it’s a real issue. But I had previous posts about it in detail but it was first the teacher not sending her to the nurse when she was really sick and she sat alone crying during recess because she was so sick. Then she fucked up my parent teacher conference and tried making it my fault when I got screenshots to prove it wasn’t me. And then my child came home stumbling off the bus because her shoes were unzipped and when I asked why she told me because she asked her teacher to help her and the teacher told her don’t worry about it you’re fine. So I have had a couple incidents roll up into a mess here and I had enough of it.

If you don’t mind me asking, what happened that you had to charge a teacher?!
