I love seeing so many moms on here who would drop anything and everything for their babies. My mom was a dead beat and I haven’t seen her since I was 9, one of my fears when DH and I got pregnant was to turn into her but I’m already in love with my daughter and she’s only 13 weeks ❤️ you all inspire me to be everything she’s going to need and I am so excited to have her 😭 don’t mind me it’s one of those emotional days haha

Hey we all either follow in our parents footsteps, deviate a little, or go completely opposite of what they were. Parenting isn't easy. I can assure you that all of us have ups and downs, meltdowns, doubts and insecurities but we do it for our children. :) It's not an easy ride. But keep your head up. Any effort is good effort and they see us in a completely different light than we see ourselves

@aababysquad definitely! I have those nights too. I sometimes feel guilty because I got post partum depression and wasn't the mom I wanted to be for my son for the first year of his life. But I got the help I needed and now I'm doing better!

that’s awesome I’m so glad to hear that you’re doing better! I’m worried about that but my hubby is always asking if I’m okay or if I need anything and like I said were only 3 months into pregnancy right now but if he’s being this wonderful before she’s even here I know I’ll be in good hands when that time comes. My family has a history of that though so I’m keeping my fingers crossed my PP won’t be as bad as theirs.

I Honestly think it’s made me stronger and a better parent not wanting to be like my mother or father. My mother abandoned me at 4 and my dad did the same at 11!! Thinking about it hurts a little because I wish I could of had what my kids have. But then again I am glad it happened that way because I am he person I am today since they both left me. I am just soo thankful for my dads best friend for taking me in at 11 and taking care of me!! My mother passed away this year and I think my dad is soon to follow hopefully. Sounds harsh I know but If you knew the whole story you would understand. I am sooo glad my kids WILL never know them!! Having your own child is such an amazing feeling!❤️❤️

that’s so sad! Mine just left us all. I don’t get it either but you’re right some people just aren’t meant to be parents. I’m glad you have your babies you love so much! And I bet I’m already starting to feel more energetic than my first 12 weeks haha I’m excited to start to feel more like me again and less like a slug. But thanks it’s sweet you took the time to post that it makes me feel better 🥰🥰

My mom has been toxic my whole life and put man after man before me and my siblings even though she was there physically I didn’t really feel like she was..So I always pray to God that I’ll never be like her. But I love my boys so much and wouldn’t trade them for the world!

You will do great!! You are not your mother and you are more than capable of loving your daughter, despite the lack thereof from your mom. You will learn your daughter like no other and in turn be exactly everything she needs! You got this 👏🏽💪🏽
