I hate how it’s “assumed” if you will, that since I’m a single mom, that just means me and my daughter’s father aren’t together... Noooooooo! I’m a different type of single mom. My daughter’s father is not in her life AT ALL! She gets NOTHING from him and he wouldn’t even know who she was if he saw her somewhere if she didn’t look so much like him.. I wish there was a different term for my situation because its totally different and it’s exhausting how much people assume about my situation. I just don’t have it in me to correct everyone..

People make a lot of assumptions but I don’t let it bother me. Everyone assumes when they find out I have children that I’m married to their dad. So weird. I’m not with him and he contributes nothing to our children. I don’t care to correct anyone because it’s not their business. I just smile and wait for them to leave me alone lol

Definitely not their business but they seem to make it theirs. Which is the annoying part. Doesn’t really bother me a great deal because I know the truth. It’s just really annoying. And there’s a huge difference. Does your children’s father at least see them?

yeah I understand what you mean. He sees them because I’m close to his mom so I take them to see her and he’s there usually. But he’s never made an effort to come see them on his own or anything

Ohhh ok. Yea I’ve seen that type of situation a lot. It’s very sad. I don’t understand how you can have a life in this world and not care. Really don’t want to understand it either, because it’s insane.
