I never did formula with my first but with my 2nd I had to start the night of her arrival cause what I was making just wasn’t enough. The hospital gave her similac sensitive but it seemed it stopped her pooping yesterday and it’s making her really gassy. Any advice?

You’re still producing colostrum. Your milk hasn’t even came in yet so who ever told you that is full of crap. They cluster feed so just because they’re eating back to back doesn’t mean that she isn’t full

She went 8hrs with not wanting to latch just sleep. She showed no interest in eating. Even when my nipple was in her mouth she wouldn’t suck just sleep

my daughter went a day and a half without eating. I had to pump my colostrum in the hospital and the nurses had to syringe feed her for her to eat. Me and my SO went to the nursery multiple time on the second day and eventually she latched on to me. Give baby time and she’ll come around. Don’t let them force formula on you. My hospital would never. If anything they would of gave her donor milk.

They can be really tired after delivery. I always had to turn on lights, change diapers anything to wake my kiddos up enough to eat.

Birth is a very traumatic thing for babes to go through. This world is so new to them. Big and scary. She could very well be nursing for comfort.
