Is it okay to wear jeans to court? I dont have anything else and dont have the money to get anything else just to wear for a day.

If you have a dark wash pair that would be better maybe but as long as they don't have holes and you wear a nice shirt I don't see why not

Depends .. what are you going to court for? I wore jeans while I was 6 months to a bail hearing for someone I had charged. I needed to state the b down I didn’t even think about the fact I was wearing jeans, they lucky I didn’t go in sweats lol.
😂 I feel the sweats. I would if I could. It's for being evicted bc I didnt pay my full October rent. I know people rarely win these over their landlord but I'm hoping they see that I physically cannot pay very much and if I do pay the right amount if wont be on time until I get to go back to work. I'm on unpaid maternity leave so idk what they want me to do or where they want me to go with a tot and a newborn if I do get evicted. Especially bc I'd have to spend the rest of my leave moving instead of resting and healing and enjoying my new baby.
@freckly, you can wear jeans but honestly the courts don’t care about your personal reasons. If a lease is signed and you agreed to pay and you haven’t, they will still evict you. They aren’t going to consider your circumstances. The landlord still has to pay mortgage and taxes on the house and if you can’t pay the rent they need a tenant that can.
@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts well it's an apartment and it's a property management company. They own most of the properties here in my town. So they definitely have the money but also the court paper said "to determine whether you will be evicted or not" thats why I'm hoping. But also they work with this place that helps pay peoples rent. They just wouldnt help me until it was court ordered so now that it is court order im gonna see if they'll help me.

Do you have a pencil skirt, long skirt or dress?
I might be able to stretch it over my belly. I'll have to see if it squishes my belly or not and honestly I feel like a cow in all my dresses i tried multiple times to wear them over the summer and it looks so frumpy.

When I had to go to court for a ticket, I wore jeans. I also wore a decent shirt, and made myself look decent. Shoot I wear jeans to interviews, and still get the job. Lol.
