What do you use on a stye? My 2 year old has one on her eyelid and I am not sure how to heal it
My mom is an eye doctor. She’s always told her patients warm compresses. She always says the best thing to use is a hard boiled egg in a sock because it fits the perfect shape of the eye and it holds heat for a good while. She says to do it a few times a day for 20 minutes and it should go away.
Warm compress it is! What if I can’t get her to keep it on for 20 minutes?
@shauna.johnson, then do it for as long as she will let you
@shauna.johnson, just as momofoneboy said, just hold it for her for as long as she will let you do it.
I’m just so scared with it being so close to her eye!
@shauna.johnson, I get them a few times a yr I work with pets and try my best not to touch my face ,I use warm/hot compress “never use the same compress for both eyes and wash bed sheets/pillow sheets & towel she uses in hott water
@momofoneboy, @ltee, Is there a reason to take her in, or just do the warm compresses and see if it heals?
I’d probably go with home remedies first and see where that gets you if it’s not giving her too much trouble
@ltee, she doesn’t seem bothered by it but I am! lol
Nope. I use to get them a lot. If it doesn’t go away ya bring her to the pediatrician but. I would try warm compress couple times a day for a few days
My daughter had that the doctor told me just to put a warm towel on it for a week then it will go away and it did dont rub it
