First file child support then go to the court house or if he hadn’t been around in over a yr file for abandonment they will take his rights depending on the state ....I’m in the same boat I moved out of town got child support never seen him again cut off all contact with his family and anyone he knows in fb

Where I live you have to have a reason to want it , so just make sure you have a reason lol

Go to the courts and file for full guardianship. And they ask a reason why, then he gets served and you guys have a court date. Mines is pending for my oldest.
