There’s been times where I have lost stuff, blamed people (not directly but in my head thank god) and looked for it a thousand times then find it a month later. If you trust her you probably misplaced it.

My sister's daughter used to have a habit of stealing things wherever she went and my sister once came and returned a bar of soap back to us after her daughter took it 😂 I'm sure she had no idea. But it depends how old the little girl is and how much you trust her i guess
