Most grains have some forms of naturally occurring heavy metals in them. Rice has trace levels of arsenic in it and always has. I don't know if the new reports are saying it is concentrated or if this is just creating news to stir parents up. I totally admit I haven't checked into it since my "baby" is 7.
I swear they were making a stink about this when my daughter was born, and that's why it stuck in my head that a lot of it is natural and has always been there.
