Made the mistake of trying to do labor and delivery research went in with intentions of having a natural birth and now I think I’m gonna punk out 😂
It truly hope I can get through without an epidural. I have a while to go so I have time to talk to my doctor about it. But both my mil and mother and sil have back problems from their epidural that’s what worries me.
Pushing hurts like a MOFO. You can do it though. But you don’t HAVE to!
Do it. If you make it through the contractions the pushing it out is nothing. I've given birth once with iv pain meds, no epidural and ended up with an episiotomy and stitches. Then once no meds at all, no episiotomy and no stitches. The time with pain meds hurt way worse during and after.
Honestly every single mom I’ve talked to says not to get an epidural my biggest fear is tearing though lol eek 😱
@ravenlovely24, I didn’t get an epidural. Both my sisters did and they feel completely fine :)
I was about to tear but my doctor cut me instead.
Once you’re pushing you won’t even feel it. You’ll do great
My first it was horrible i had an epidural that my body didn’t react well to which caused me to have a spinal headache and i couldn’t care for my newborn for that first month. My husband had to take a leave at work until i was better. Second was amazing i went natural of course this time she literally flew out no pushing at all. The contractions are no joke but i just kept remembering that this doesn’t last forever and women have been doing this forever. You will be fine good luck. This time around i want to have a home water birth but my husband isn’t on board with at home yet lol
