I need suggestions to a better birth control that doesn’t require me to remember it every night lol. I want something I never have to think about. Anyone have any opinions on Nexplanon?
Oh nooo that’s not good lol. I mean the period thing sounds like a dream but at the same time idk if I’d wanna do it with those side effects.
@coffeebean yeah the hot flashes are freaking awful. I'll be sitting there and out of no where I'm on fire and sweating. And I have to carry deodorant around everywhere I go now too when I didn't before I got it in. I have to put it on multiple times a day. But I'm not pregnant and i cant forget to take it so it works lol. Something I have to remember everyday just wasn't an option for me.
@catfish2220, yeah that sucks but like you said, apparently it works lmao. I’m just so annoyed with having to stop what I’m doing or get up to go take a pill it’s a pain in the ass lol.
I have it I’ve bled for two yrs straight 🤷🏼♀️
@cheetahgurl420, ugh I couldn’t deal. I’d have to find another one. That’s why I’m scared to switch.. cause I never have real issues with my pill other than simply forgetting to take it and it makes me nauseous asf when I do take it. But anything else I tried seemed to mess with my emotions and make me bleed or literally not wanna even think about sex. A close friend of mine had Nexplanon and I know she loved it all three years she kept it. But i still wanna see others experiences for this reason.
@coffeebean, ya I had the Mirena and the wires got wrapped around my uterus so idk lol
@cheetahgurl420, ouch!!! Mine just basically was falling out like it was never in correctly 🙄
I loved my nexplanon. I'll be getting it placed again soon.
How careful do you have to be? Like all my children attacking me and what not can’t knock it out can it? 😂 that’s all that freaks me out.
@coffeebean I mean, I had it full time nannying and never had an issue at all. Just be careful for the first few weeks and you're good to go. They placed it on the inside of my arm so there's less chance of breaking or moving. Then I would just check once a week and make sure everything still felt right. I stopped bleeding and periods pretty swiftly with it. I also have bipolar and it seems to be best with my moods so far!
@madhatter, that’s awesome!! Appreciate the input forsure!! I don’t have bipolar (i don’t think anyway) but I’ve got some depression and mood swings so it would be awesome if it helped calm that shit down a bit cause I be on my own nerves 🤦🏽♀️😂
I have the Mirena IUD and I love it. No side effects for me
I had mirena for a year and it was horrible for me. I was bummed cause I know so many people who LOVE it and it was just what I wanted but never worked for me 😕
@coffeebean, aww I see. Have you tried the Paragard?
@flamingomom, no I heard a lot of bad things from that one so it freaked me out and I didn’t even wanna try lol
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
GAME TIME

I have It and I like it for the most part. My periods are really light if I get one and only last a couple hours or so. I only get one every couple of months. But it does give me hot flashes, acne, and oily hair so there's that.
