I seriously don’t understand why in a pregnancy with no risk factors they want you to come in weekly at the end. We don’t even do anything besides waste gas and time. Lol

To make sure the baby is still growing & heart sounds good and that you are fine on protein in urine and blood pressure etc.

That’s just it. I’m measuring ahead and they checked my fluid levels about a week ago. I check my blood pressures myself at home. Any complaints or worries and I would totally schedule a visit. But there’s absolutely nothing I need. Lol

I was in labor towards the end and didn’t even know it with both boys until I went in. It’s for your safety and the babies.

That’s what happened to me with my last baby.. I got to my appointment and I Was almost 6cm she was like OH YOU NEED TO GO 😂😂

@littleonemorning, I had some light contractions the night before and a little on the way there so I didn’t expect to have progressed anywhere near that lol.

Besides all the safety precautions everyone else listed...ranting cause I totally see what you mean by wasting gas. My ob is an hour away! I have to take my 3 year old with me so we have to both be up and ready like 2 hours before drive an hour up there sit for up to 30-45 minutes anyway and then an hour back home! Andddd I was literally on the way to my gender scan when the office called and rescheduled 🙄.

This is exactly where my rant came from. Lol. It’s like 30 minutes away...I have to take my 2 year old and the 3 year old I nanny. The wait time. All for a 5-10 minute encounter of “ok everything looks good”. Like uhhhh I know it does. Thanks. 😂

Mine was a hr away but I had a stillborn at the end of my pregnancy in 2016 so when I had my 16mth old I wanted every apt with her. I didn't care I just wanted to make sure she was fine no matter how many apts I had. You don't see how important it is till something like that happens.
