Fondant can be peeled away. You may have to for that look, but again, you don’t have to eat it! :)

You could always go with something similar though.
The pink would be super difficult to make it look at fluffy and detailed. The edges would "wilt"
My aunts a cake decorator she’s says you aren’t suppose to eat the fondant it’s just for show!! I actually like it and will always eat some of it.
I like flavored fondant. Marshmallow flavored is soooo good. Especially when it’s nice and soft. Have you tried it flavored? Is it the taste/texture you don’t like?

@mamalove563, have you had flavored fondant? It can be flavored. I have a few lady’s I go to for cakes and I tell them what flavor id like the fondant. My favorite is the marshmallow flavor though.
