As some one who lived through no power for days during the 1989 earthquake, no power during the Oakland Hills fire in 1993 AND got stuck in the middle of Hurricane Ike while I was working in Houston in 2008, I reserve the right to crack a joke when I’ve narrowly escaped some shit.
