This dude is testing my patience today saying he wants to keep custody out of the courts but I'd like the courts to be involved so he cant just run off with my kids. Any advice??
I'll tell you right now speaking from experience. I didnt go to court for my youngest . His father was a junkie and I felt like I didnt have to cause he wouldnt be an problem. I was wrong he took our son he moved out of town but stayed in the same province . There was nothing I could do for 3 months till the courts figured it out . I couldn't even talk to my son . He wouldnt let me .
Now I say even if ur married you should still have a plan either joint custody . Or access but filed though the courts to protect you for if things dont work out and shit gets ugly .
Go to court. Hire an attorney and have him served. Have the attorney negotiate all the terms with him so you don't have to talk to him about it. A court order will protect the both of you and your children most importantly
Court, so there are set plans. I would be afraid that he would pull something later on and then you are stuck in the court system tying to get your child back. It is mutual the way I see it. Not one sided.
Go to court. Are you kidding? This guy is setting you up girl. Go with your gut
He’s once again “controlling “ do what’s best for you and the kids & he probably doesn’t want to get courts involved then he can’t spend all his money on the women he sees while being married “hope u make those calls today”&sometimes u gotta play stupid don’t tell him shit ! What plans your making
Courts . Only way possible . I also would not let him have access till you've been seen in court and at least spoken to a judge .
Agree.
I had a coworker once tell me, this was years ago before I had a child, that she had her 3 kids taken away from her ex husband and she had to fight in court for months! Not having your babies for months?! That is scary. That is why my ex and I went to the court. No funny games.
Yes! @mommy_of_monsters get a temporary order until there is a court order by the judge. Tell the attorney that you're afraid he might take the kids and run. I did this until my final divorce decree was established and it was such a relief since my ex husband was so unpredictable
@massgirl right . I had one of those for a bit . I agreed to access when he was off when he made arrangements with me and that the child be returned to me to sleep . That his primary address and caregiver was me until we reached an agreement. This way I knew that he would have to return my son home and could not leave town again . This worked and eased my mind while my boy was with his daddy . A judge needs to sign off on it and he cant go against this order or he would have been charged with kidnapping.
I’d definitely handle it thru the courts if that’s a concern you have and believe he would do that. Only time people don’t go is when they feel they’ve got trust in the other parent as well as feeling like what y’all agreed on is fair. If he can’t do that or makes you feel like he can dip on you, then I’d be taking it to court as well.
I learned th hard way. Always have court involvement
Yup if u don’t want him at the hospital that’s your choice ...if you don’t put him on the bc he has no rights idk what state your in but I could find out for you if you do he could take off with them I’ve delt with this before basically get as far away as you can get every bit of proof from his attitude to anything bring it to court file for child support have them take it out his check that’s what I did
Go to court. It protects everyone involved.
Talk to an attorney / handle through courts.
GET THE COURTS INVOLVED. Do what you think is best. After what he did he'll be lucky he can even see his kids
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
if i don't want to give my baby the fathers last name, can he take me to court to change that?
if i don't want my baby's fathers last name on my baby can he take me to court for it and make me put it on?
So my babys dad blocks me and before that he told me to abort this baby. Like first of all im not going to abort my baby. 😡😡 Also before he blocks me says he wont help me at all and also said he will fight at court if i put child support. Then take my baby from me. He also threatened to harm me. Like "brujeria" 😂😂
My girls father is supposed to have my kids today until 8pm. (It’s what we agreed on in our court order) well, he just text me and said “if you get the girls when u get off at 4 I’ll give u $100.”
He already owes me $150. Should I get my girls and take his money? Or should I let him figure it out since it’s clear he has plans he wants to do?
Go to court..
