Dealing with a crying newborn from 5-on.. I somehow made dinner in between then and left it on the table and had to tend to baby girl.. husband doesn’t offer to help with her or make me a plate... instead he does whatever it is he needs to do, eats dinner and goes to bed at 9. Oh, and the food was still left out on the table with HIS dishes in the sink.. meanwhile it’s midnight here and I’m still up with her and he’s fast asleep. Thanks???
He really gots to go

He needs to step up 🙄 leave him with baby girl so he can stop being so ungrateful and lend a hand. It is HIS child too..

Girl I’m over him. I’m really about to just disappear and fly home

I'm sorry 😔 you're doing it on your own rn anyway girl just stay strong and hopefully you figure out what's best for you and baby girl.

Ugh my sons dad was the same ! “I’m tired.” When I’d ask him to feed him and put him to bed while I made dinner
Useless ass boys 😑🤦🏻♀️

He needs to help. If he doesn’t help now he will not give you anymore help later on. If he doesn’t step up then leave. Why take care of your baby by yourself and have to tend to him. If you left you’d only have to tend to baby which you’re already doing by yourself anyway.

Exactly! So nothing would even change

I’m absolutely not excusing his actions by any means. But I definitely wouldn’t call it quits or say he gotta go yet. Men aren’t as mature & for some, it takes time to actually get on the right page. He needs some tough love from you & needs told if he doesn’t step up then he can step all the way down. But I wouldn’t make any decisions right now. It might be a fear of her being so young.. my BIL took a month before he would hold his first born because the baby is too small & it freaked him out. He would do anything you asked or sit next to the baby, but he didn’t wanna hold them. It’s got better each baby. My husband wasn’t as helpful as hands on at first as he is now. He got better with each baby. If I quit on him with the first baby; I wouldn’t have my other two & we would be split up over something he could have fixed. He’s a great dad.. but if I judged him off the first month he was a dad, I’d assume we were screwed. But he’s amazing. You just gotta talk, it’s very important. He might not honestly think what he does is a problem as crazy as that may sound.
