Celebrating that I’m not going to die from Huntington’s Chorea and neither are any of my children…

It’s a rare and fatal disease that runs in my paternal biological family.

I carry some genes that increase my risk significantly for macular degeneration (which also runs in my paternal family...my eldest sister is already dealing with this) so that has to be watched closely and some things that increase my risk of cirrhosis which is what my father died from so ill now have to start seeing a Hepatologist every so often to make sure my liver doesn’t go the way of my dads.
