My oldest barely talked at 2, and now my youngest speaks in full sentences, sings entire songs, and a lot of the time speaks better than my 4 year old.

My son didn’t talk at all when he was two. He got speech therapy and now here he is three years old and knows every shape, letter and sounds that they make, nursery rhyme, all of the animals, and will talk to you about everything.

Uhhhh a lot. 😅 he knows objects, shapes, sounds, animals, songs, and body parts in both Spanish and English. The whole ABCs, Baby Shark, One little finger song, and he can count to 10. But don’t compare your kid to others. They all learn at their own pace and their own way. For example my kid is more of a kinetic learner so he has to do something and mimic what others do to learn

Every child is dif, my 1st son spoke full clear sentences at 1 ish ,, my 2nd son spoke by 3 yrs old ,my toddler now says a few words I’m not worried about it ,my first son was in gifted by kindergarten,my 2nd son knew so much also by kindergarten and my last son knows things my first 2 didn’t so it’s okay

Your 2-year-old will probably be putting longer sentences together (like, "Mommy, I want cookie" rather than just, "Cookie Mommy.") He'll also begin to use pronouns like "I" and "me" instead of his name. Not all children talk at the same rate so don't worry if a friend's child is talking more than yours. Boys also tend to starting talking later than girls.

Also, try not to stress. Children develop and learn differently. It will happen. I thought my son was behind in speech so I took him twice to get an evaluation. He isn’t behind. They also gave me a chart that shows how different boys and girls speech is and at what ages they learn and can pronounce different sounds. My son is a lazy talker meaning he doesn’t use all his muscles in his mouth. But his vocabulary is huge at his age. Some of the words he says I don’t even know where he learned. It’s okay momma, he will be fine.

My son is 2 and sings whole songs but my daughter is 3 and doesn’t say a word still my area doesn’t have speech therapy for children so it’s just a wait and see game. I took her to the dr today once again and mentioned it and they wouldn’t offer any advice either

She mostly speaks her own language but we talk to her (not googoo language) but she speaks pretty good and knows some clear sentences. Just keep working with him and talk to your doctor

My 2 year old doesn't really say any words right now. It's a few sounds from the beginning of a couple words but that's it. He is getting speech therapy but he also has a major medical background so that kind of helped in him qualifying before age 3.

My daughter speaks whole sentences but that's because I refuse to let her just point at stuff and I work with her daily.

My son has about 250-300 now if not more...they tested cause he's advanced I suppose but he also walked SUPER late. Every baby is different but talk to your doctor if you're concerned!
