I need my wisdom teeth removed but I’m breastfeeding. Is that gonna be a problem? Will I be able to keep breastfeeding her?
See what I’m afraid of is being put to sleep. She will take a bottle but it irritates her a little it and she comfort nurses A LOT like A LOT. I’m just sorry that it will take so long that she will want to comfort nurse or she just won’t want to accept a bottle and then she won’t eat and I won’t be available to feed her. It’s time that I’m more worried about now.
No. Yes. You will have local anesthesia (shot to numb the gums/nerves). Make sure they wait till you're absolutely numb. They will break and pull out teeth. You may have 4 different appointments because they tend to only want to do one area at a time. Most you will be given for pain is either Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice, oh I’ll definitely have help if that happens. How long did it take? Cause now I’m just more worried about how long it will take and her needing me and not accepting her bottle because she just wants me
@bubbys.mommy local only took about 30mins. IV took about an hour or more. I don't even know, I lost track of time lol.
@beetlejuice_beetlejuice_beetlejuice, well I was over here thinking it’d take 2+ hours so 🤣
I had mine removed while breastfeeding but I was awake and took no medication.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Please share your breastfeeding stories and tips!
Hi everyone! @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom here. For today's chat we're going to talk about breastfeeding and pumping in honor of World Breastfeeding Week! Both can seem complicated or stressful, but remember you have lots of support here! With my first son I had things going against us for breastfeeding.
I wish I knew back when he was younger that we could have still tried! With my second...
Am I the only one who's not breastfeeding?!?
Breastfeeding.
I am a HUGE breastfeeding advocate. No, I will NOT shame you if you decide to formula feed, and will not tolerate anyone else doing so on my post. Everyone has their own reasons on why they feed their child the way they see fit.
I really need to start my research for breastfeeding😩
I was pregnant with one extraction and breastfeeding when I got the other 5 out. (Yes I had 2 extras). They only numbed me when I was pregnant and I couldn't take anything really for pain. When I had them out while breastfeeding they put me under and I was able to have naproxen and I can't think of the others name but they are both something they give you after birth for pain and discomfort. They only give you like a 3 day supply though because you should be feeling much better around then. I just took Tylenol either way. Let me also say this was about 12 years ago so things may have changed since then.
