I found out I am slightly anemic with this pregnancy and the dr wants me to take an over the counter iron supplement along with my prenatals. What’s a good iron supplement to take while pregnant? Because I’m clueless

Yes my son took a iron supplement that had vitamin c in it, and thankfully I don’t drink a lot of milk we cut out a lot of dairy in our house last year due to my sons dairy allergy

My dr office recommended slowFE. Take your prenatal in the morning and iron at night, not together
Do you take them to?
@mommakayla18, no cause I’m broke so i bought the cheaper one
I take these. They're the only ones that don't make me nauseous

Well I like slow release iron pills but I also recommend taking vitamin C with it. It helps iron absorb.
The slow release doesn't constipate me
Watch milk intake. Vitamin D has the opposite and too much will block iron absorption
I’m slightly anemic too and my doctor prescribed me 325mg of iron. I’m pretty sure any iron will do. Take stool softeners cause it will make you constipated. Iron is iron so don’t spend money on an expensive bottle if it’ll do the same as a 5 dollar one. Why spend more money than you need to right.
Whatever you end up getting I suggest getting a fiber drink or eating high fiber foods because iron pills will make you constipated.
Oh yes I know all to well my son was on iron supplements and definitely added more fiber and juices to his diet
@mommakayla18, I found out the hard way lol
Feramax is good
