ant tips to not pick up a baby everytime she cries? i’m trying to give her a little independence but she freaks everytime..
With my son I would let him cry it out only during certain situations. When he was that little tho I would always try and find a cause first and help him. Hungry? Diaper? Tired? Teething? Or just wants mommy? & when I do let him just cry for a little if everything was fine with him i never do it it for a long period of time. I would always go to him every few minutes, settle him down and remind him that it’s okay. At 8m tho babies are starting the separation anxiety process, which can be really hard for them, and hard for you. They don’t yet understand that mommy’s still around or that they’re just having anxiety. It’s all new feelings for them, so they’re learning how to process and handle it. If that makes sense. Try to keep her in your sight to where she can see you, give her things for distraction, try and find a cause, talk to her, and just keep reassuring her that it’s okay and that you’re there. It’s not really a “they’ll get over it” thing. It’s more of a “they’re leaving.. learning how to process feelings/emotions and learning how to be independent” thing.
Distractions with toys/food and playtime. They go through clingy stages off and on. I couldn’t let my girl just cry like some recommend but that’s just me. Could she be teething?
