Do u ladies think friendships come with expectations? Imo a true friendship shouldn’t have any expectations. However I was asked yesterday if someone wasn’t meeting my expectations of the friendship. To which I responded I don’t think there should be expectations to a friendship. What are your thoughts?
The only expectation that should be in place is honesty,communication and selflessness but nothing more

I've stayed up all night with people when they're in their darkest place before but when it came to me being in that dark place, nobody was there for me. They ignored the signs and did nothing.
That right there isn't friendship imo.
The only expectation I have is be there for me the way I am for you. I'm not gonna be in a one sided friendship. I recently cut two people out for this reason. I felt like I was only around when they wanted my husband to hang out and other than that never heard from them.

I didn’t think I was either haha. But I can’t change the way people think of me all I can do is be the bigger person and stay as far away from them as possible
Sorry but I think a true friendship does comes with expectations. Honestly and loyalty. If you do not have either one of those it would be hard to maintain an genuine friendship in my opinion.

I can't stand the drama that women surround themselves with it's just not necessary. I would rather be alone 🤷♀️
The only thing I don't like is those one sided friendships. Where they expect you to be there for them, but when you need a shoulder to cry on they're never there. Ya know?
That's why I gave up trying to make friends as an adult. I'm a very giving person and I feel like I just end up in these lopsided friendships
I feel the same way. I have two friends I've had since high school and my husband. That's all I need really. A lot of people now a days just don't seem down for genuine friendships. I can't seem to make a real friend it's always one sided.

Loyalty and respect is all I’d ask of from a friend. I don’t need all your time, I don’t need you to be at my beck and call but I do want to know that I can turn to you if I do need to. I have a small social circle and I know that they’d be there for me good and bad and I hope they know I’d do the same for them.
right and I should have known from the get go that she wasn’t a good persons. I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and that was really stupid on my part.
I’m not sure what’s happened but it’s definitely not stupid to expect the best from people. Some people just don’t know how to be good friends, there’s a definite me me me culture going on just now and some people just can’t help themselves. It’s a reflection on them not you.

And turns out this person is fake as fuck. Def someone I don’t want to be fiends with. It’s really sad and I feel bad for her because she doesn’t have many friends and I was just genuinely trying to be her friend with no stings attached. But I come to find out she’s asking other people if they thought we were close. I had to have it explained to me several times because I just couldn’t understand why anyone would do or say such a thing. Like who cares if we are close.
We were until about a month ago. Our “friendship” lasted a whole 3mths. I have no time for that bullshit In my life att all. Like I’m 38 years old not fucking 5
@massgirl, oh her and her dh are dropped. It just sucks because our boys are really good friends. I will never let this get between them though
that's always the worst. Hopefully they're mature enough to not let it interfere with the boys but don't be surprised if they stop letting their son hang out with your little one

I don’t know how to word this but I’ll try. I have a few friends and I give them everything I can as a friend. Unconditional love, support, if I have something WE have it. If you have a struggle and you come to me, it’s our struggle. You aren’t alone. With that being said, I don’t expect you to match me but it’s not going to be a one sided friendship either. I put to much of myself into it and I expect the same. Of course we have our own families and lives.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
