I personally never thought about breast health until I went to my annual appointment 6 years ago and they found a lump in both my breast. It was the week before my wedding and I was already a little stressed with final wedding plans but to add this in the mix it was scary. They sent me for an mammogram right away but my insurance denied their request! Instead I had an ultrasound done and from there they decided to do a biopsy. I had a huge sigh of relief when my results came back it was not cancer but it made me much more aware that I needed to do self checks. Since finding my first lumps I have found 2 more resulting in two more ultrasounds and a mammogram.

Check your breast ladies if you aren’t already doing it.
