So on October 23rd I will be going in for my 6 week check up, and I need to get on birth control cuz until my husband caves and gets a vasectomy this is just what I need to do, but my question is I have talked to my dr. About the mirana/IUD and was wondering if it made you gain weight, have mood swings, or hurt and was painful? I am nervous! I have only ever taken the pill, but onviously I suck at taking it so this is my only other option lol

The wires got wrapped around my uterus I had no periods but then after two years it did that so I got it out now I have the arm one I’ve bled for two yrs straight but better then being pregnant

ya but that’s not too common hopefully ,but some have 0 issues so don’t let it scare you I could never feel the strings that’s freaky to me they make copper ones and

I’ve had no symptoms. I check my strings monthly for peace of mind

@flamingomom yes, i have heard good and bad things about it so I am hoping my body doesn't react badly to it. But i think i am more scared getting the arm one put in lol

It worked best for me. Mine fel out tho that was from the doc tho not the mirena

I loved mine but I did gain 30 pounds with it. Had it in for 3 years
