I can't say that I've had my tonsils out but...I just got over the worst case of tonsillitis I have ever had. I had an antibiotic and it didn't relieve anything by the 5 day of it so my doctor gave me an oral steroid and that did the trick. Maybe ask your doctor for that?

no problem. I was in so much pain. It made a big difference after taking it the first 24 hours.

I didn't, but holy cow. I got a tonsil stone after having strep throat. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER for the pain and not being able to swallow.

Yup. No more tonsils for me. I used to get strep throat at least 10 times a year
