Severely anemic. What are some high iron foods?
Cook Everything in cast iron!!!!
On top of the fresh foods everyone else has covered, fortified breakfast cereals and dried fruits
Spinach. Make sure you drink orange juice. Something about the vitamin c helps with absorption. Also make sure you up your fiber so you don’t get constipated.
Try to eat the vegetables raw if you can. Cooking them and adding stuff to them causes them to lose their nutritional value
Pea and raisins along with what everyone else said
Spinach, tofu, lentils, broccoli, beans, shellfish....
Beef, spinach, broccoli, beans, lentils, seafood if you take a pill take it in the morning with vitamin C like orange juice it helps with absorbsion. Also don’t have dairy within an hour of taking it
Yes I have to start taking iron pills today. I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
I’m definitely going to eat those then. No time for me to be worrying about taste lol.
@makeupmomplustwo_, my mom makes it into smoothies they’re not terrible tasting but not pleasant
@makeupmomplustwo_, if you toss chicken thighs, legs, beets, carrots, and potatoes in olive oil with some salt, thyme and pepper and bake it you will be good to go. I eat that over some brown rice 😋
Thank you ladies so much
