So I had an appointment today and I'm a little upset with the nurse. From my accent she can tell where I'm from so I guess she felt kinda too comfortable since we share almost the same culture and our countries are close. Anyway, she was on the phone and she was telling the person she's about to an HIV test. She didnt mention my name but I thought it was unprofessional. The whole time I was with her she was on the phone and the person on the other end was cursing and upset about something and she was having this conversation like I'm not even there. Even if I wanted to ask questions I couldn't. I'm a LPN and I take care of patients from different backgrounds, even my country but when I'm with that patient I'm not gonna be on my phone. I'm usually talking to them asking them about them until I leave their room. Idk if I'm over reacting but I just felt like she could've told that person she'll call them back. Idk it's just what I could do as a nurse but I'm not the type of person to report anyone. I hope I never get her again.
