Bryson had his 2 week check up yesterday and he is finally back up to his birth weight which was 6lbs 3oz! He is doing great except still not breastfeeding, but that's ok cuz i am pumping and giving him milk that way! I wish the nurses and his pediatrician would stop pressuring me to keep trying to nurse through. I get it, i would of loved to have the nursing experience with him like i did with my other 2. But with being a premie we are struggling!
Thank you! Yes i have been consistently pumping every 3 hours like the lactation consultants have told me to do.
@kaitlinl20, glad to hear you have a lactation consultant to help you get it all sorted and give you all the necessary information!
Awww I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. Is he just too small to latch or he developed a bottle preference or what do you think? That’s great you’re pumping though and giving him that nutritious mamas milk!
Hes having a really hard time latching. I have seen 5 different lactation consultants.
@kaitlinl20, has he been checked for lip and tongue ties?
@2sweetie yes he had his tongue tie clipped in the hospital. They said hes having trouble latching cuz hes a premie
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
Advice??my 6 year old is acting up...
I know it might not help but my 6 year old raise his hand at me and call me fat before that he hit me and i say no because you know you cry. I took his tablet away and told him that he needs to stop. that got him more mad and thats when he did it.So i tell him he would stay with me these weekend and not with his dad. I let his dad know and he is not agreeing with my decision. He says he is going to talk to him but its been the 3rd time he talks to him and n...
I saw this in a group. What's your opinion?
Ok ladies y’all help me out 😭so my fiancé asked would I use a strap on him bout two months ago I cringed at the thought. Later I decided to give it a try and my fiancé were trying to spice up our relationship so I tried fingering him in his but . He liked it a lot . So the other night during sex he can’t put the blue with a dildo . I went ahead and we used it on both him and I . So he would lock up in the bathroom which concerns me . So last night we ...
Got home around 11... washed lil man up and made him a bottle... asked my husband to get off his phone and help me put him to sleep... as soon as I did, my husband sat on the couch and fell right to sleep with Zach in his arms... I walked over to him and picked Zach up and he has to nerve to jump awake talking about I scared him because he thought he dropped Zach... this is why I’ve stopped asking him to hold him... he is irresponsible... I ended up setting up Zach’s stand up floor lamp, rearran...
The only problem with pumping is that if you’re not consistent in doing it every two hours your supply will drop. I’ve been pumping since my son stopped breastfeeding randomly at 2months.
Also, if your period returns it can also cause a drop in supply. My supply tanked after my period so now we have to supplement.
I will say nursing is far more convenient! But all that matters is that he is getting enough to eat no matter what that means for you.
