I feel like such a child 😔 My Fiancé and I were talking the other night about a courthouse wedding and I’m the one who brought it up and he kinda brushed it off at the time because he’s definitely the more traditional one of the two of us but after talking with our boss today (we work together) he’s considering it more seriously because then he’d get paternity leave and our baby can have his last name and I can too but there’s a part of me that just...is really upset that it’s probably going to be what happens. I know that is what’s best for our family but I’m only 22 years old and as much as I like to claim that I’m a forward thinking feminist that doesn’t need a ceremony to tell people I love my partner there’s this 12 year old inside of me that feels like she’s been shorted her dream wedding 🤦🏻♀️
It’s dumb and I know it’s pregnancy hormones and I’ll probably get over it in a few hours but I just needed to get it off my chest.

Depends on your state but you can have people ordained online. My husband and I got married in my in laws backyard with just his parents and sister there. I still got dressed up. He was semi dressed up. You can still have an intimate wedding. It doesn’t HAVE to be in the courthouse. My sil got legally married last summer and is having a giant religious ceremony next weekend with all their friends and family. If it’s something you want to have happen, then don’t give up on it.
Do the courthouse wedding only for it to be legal, but plan your big wedding.
You can have a notery marry yall i believe. That way ypu can have a small intimate wedding.
Then just let him know you changed your mind and want to have a small wedding. Or a big wedding if that's what you want. Don't rush for those things.
Why would he not get leave? He's still had a child. Nobody can tell you which name to give your child either. If you want a big, small, Courthouse wedding have it.
I mean we were both fine with waiting it out until we could have a nice little wedding but he and I are both callcenter agents and because we’re not married he isn’t eligible for paternity leave :/ Now I know they’ll give him a week or so off but now as long as a married couple would have which sucks
Even if you go with a courthouse wedding you can make it special. Later you can do a renewal and more of your dream wedding, too 😊
That’s kinda what I’m thinking we’re going to do but I think the child in me just had to cry a little bit. I’m just happy being with him and I know when we do have our ceremony it’ll be the way we want it.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

My husband and I did the courthouse for the same reason. My sister took me shopping for a dress looked at wedding dresses and non wedding I found a non wedding one that I fell in love with and we had our family there( my parents, sister, brother in law and one of my nephews even took off school that I didn’t know about lol and his parents and grandparents came from 2 hours away) and we all went out to dinner after. Me my mom and my sister planned a reception for that weekend I was really big on having a traditional wedding but this made sense since I was pregnant and we wanted to get married anyways this just happened sooner then we planned and at the reception we did all the traditional dances and our families made the food. A family friend used my camera to take pictures of everything and everybody for us. By the time this was over and planning everything was done I was sooo relieved we didn’t have alllll the extra planning(band, catering, photography, ext) and at the end I was just glad to call him my husband he says if I want a traditional we can renew our vows one day and do it traditional but now I’m just like eh lol
