I just pumped for about 42mins and got an oz of milk...it used to take about 10/15mins to get that...why does this happen?? This happened with my first as well. I'd do great nursing wise then I'd just drop

Your baby is only 3 weeks old so your supply isn't yet established so theres still hope. Some women also dont respond well to a pump. Try massaging your breasts while pumping to help squeeze it out and keep going at it often. Milk is about a supply and demand. You're doing a great job and I'm proud of your devotion to do best for baby! You're a great mom.

Did you just feed baby when you pumped? If so you were likely empty and it can take a bit to produce more milk. Also play with your pump settings. My first baby I never even knew what the settings were for but the Instagram page “legendairymilk” has been super helpful

I didnt produce much bc how everything GB happened, but bc of that I learned that sometimes me and my husband had to stimulate my breasts in order to lossen it all up just so I'd produce alil more. Bc I was having to supplement. I was able to produce enough to at least give her half breast and half formula bc she wouldnt latch bc she was early. (Whole situation where I had an issue producing bc she was early and didnt get to stimulate my body on her own bc she went straight to the nursery bc she couldn't breathe. So I had to force my body to produce. With latching issues I wasnt ever able to produce more than 2oz at a time) but stimulation does help. Sometimes it helps to switch it up, and your significant other playing with them a bit definitely helps. That's how we got mine to produce to begin with.
