Help! Does this look like an allergic reaction? She was prescribed amoxicillin, she took it for four days, then after two days this rash appeared all over her(so 6 days after starting it). I made her an appt, but she seen someone she doesnt usually see and if I'm honest I dont like the dr very well. The only thing he did was check her ears to make sure the infection went away, he was never very close to her enough to even look at it well. And he said it was a viral rash, to keep her out of the sun. Now I'm wondering if I should take her to the urgent care who prescribed the medication in the first place, to get a second opinion. I'm confused and thought I could get some opinions from other mommies.

When my daughter had an allergic reaction to penicillin it was huge hives and joint swelling. This looks viral to me.

This is day 2 of the rash yesterday it looked worse, it was alot more red and the bumps were bigger. Thats why I called the pediatrician to see if it was something to be concerned about, because it had gone down on its own, and they said since she was recently prescribed the antibiotics to be seen. But that's doctor didn't even barely get close enough to look at it and he never touched her. I held her head so he could put the thing in to check her ears. That's why it throws me off because every other dr we have ever seen has always touched or felt something on them and he was a good 2-3 feet from her at all times. He was never close.
