My mother, step father and siblings flew to Mexico on the 20th, they are due home on the 3rd of October but there is no guarantee that they will be provided a flight... Apparently some destinations are having return flight supplied but not others? Which I do not understand! My friends mother is stuck in turkey, she was due home today but they aren't providing a flight apparently so god only knows what's going to happen!
My SIL is on Turkey atm, due back on Wednesday, if they're ATOL protected does that mean they'll get a flight back for definate?xx
@sarahjane__ I'm not sure. My friends mother was ATOL protected and she isn't getting a flight back. She has to sort her own travel and then go through her travel insurance to claim the money back or something :) I'm sure your sister in law should be able to contact someone about flights xx
My partners auntie flew to Cyprus yesterday and her flights have been cancelled 🤦🏼♀️
Did she get there? If you get there you stay for the remainder and another company fly you back
Yeah we booked months ago. We are atol protected and paid on credit card for extra protection but not the point. We had 9 holidays booked with them lol. Wedding is booked direct with hotel. Cant rebook as only thomas cook sold the hotel. So looks like lose wedding or book flights and hotel separate. Flights at 3k
@miss_bubbles, I’m sure once the dust settles a bit other firms will pick up the hotels etc. They won’t let them sit empty. Doesn’t really help you much now but hang tight I’d expect news of firms taking over in the next few days.
@miss_bubbles, bloody hell. I keep seeing friends posting on fb about their holidays they’ve booked. It’s awful. I hope something gets sorted for you hun x
