I’ve been breastfeeding on demand and pumping almost every time she feeds I get about 2 oz to put back for saving.
Thank you for this information! I didn’t know that it was before 6 weeks.
@mommagoat, yes once you hit 6 weeks your supply will be established and baby’s needs will kind of even out. Get yourself some sleep mama and don’t worry about pumping for now.
@mimixtmn, sounds good I probably wouldn’t even have time anymore well this kinda puts my mind to ease.
I don’t 😴😴 my bf lets me sleep in a little once he gets up and if I’m lucky I might get a small nap. My mom took my son the yesterday for the night so that helped but my bf will be going back to work Tuesday and so I’ll have my son and daughter, but luckily I’ll have my mil to help out. I’m about to really run on no sleep at all.
@mommagoat, my little one is 8 days old and I don’t really get sleep. My husband works graveyard so he can’t help me at night and I’ve been trying to let him sleep in during the day. There’s noooo way I could be nursing and pumping at this time. Just don’t get burnt out mama. Let yourself rest.
@kimberly_preemie-mom, I will do my best. I’m enjoying this time while my bf is at home with us, because I know it’ll get hard.
Be careful it’s amazing you want to build a stash but it is not recommended to pump before 6 weeks. Breast milk is created by demand so the more you demand the more you will make which risks creating an over supply and you will have way too much milk which also causes a heavy let down which can choke and discourage your baby from breastfeeding.
