I see all these mommy's talking about going 40 weeks into the pregnancy. Back when I had my daughter even if she would've made it full term I wouldnt have gotten that luxury. Back then in my area the doctors didnt get paid if they didnt get the baby out before the 40 week mark. So even if they had to induce you, you almost always had your child at 39 week.
But my baby girl was impatient and came at 38 weeks and 5 days.

Back when I gave birth to my baby, it was common for the insurance companies not to pay the doctor if the baby wasnt out by 39 weeks. They wouldnt even pay for the birth. And the doctors really didn't like that. Not just bc they didnt get paid, but bc it also stuck the mom with a really big bill afterwards. Again this is just in my area. The way my doctor was though, if I would've made it to 39 weeks, I dont know if she would've induced me or not. She seemed way more focused on what was best for the baby. That's why I only want to go back to her again.
@mamaste yea. I still haven't paid the bill for my daughter being in nursery for 6 days after birth. Its 13,000$ eating away at my credit bc of the gap in between her birth and Medicade approval for her, medicade decided not to pay the nursery bill.
They still do try to induce you in some hospitals at 39 weeks so they can get paid. But science no longer supports induction before 40 weeks unless it is a medical emergency. However when you get pregnant you sign up for at least 40 weeks possibly up to 42. Especially as medical professionals can be off by two weeks.
I was perfectly content had my daughter decided to stay put for up to 42 weeks as well.
I would've let her, but by my 38th week I was already 3cm dialated and then my water broke the same night. Part of that was due to my endometriosis though. We knew I wasnt going to make it full term. Especially after I had went into labor at the 6th month mark. But if I could've made if full term I would've been happy if she would've stayed at least 40 weeks.
@eliza_sapp just the evidence based medicine is coming more into play. Back in the 90s my mom said even if you went into labor naturally you got put on pitocin to speed labor along.
@no062014 yea. They had to induce me along side my contractions. Bc I wasnt dialating anymore bc I couldn't feel my contractions. They had to make it to where I could feel them so my body would react. My pain tolerance was so high that I didnt feel anything until I was on 25 mill units a second.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
