So, I need to increase my milk supply. My LO has been 50/50 formula and BM since the second or third week of his life, and after struggling with mom guilt over that (and still sometimes, but my body just wouldn’t produce enough for him 😔) I’ve come to accept that this is how our journey is going to go. He’s happy, healthy, and sleeping 11 hours straight at night 💃🏼💃🏼. However, I’ve been pumping more than nursing him lately, once in a while we’ll nurse, but honestly I feel better being able to see how much he’s consuming (that could be from the difficult first three weeks we had with him not gaining weight and seeing a LC every other day, I was so stressed) anywho, I’ve gotten very lax in my pumping. Lately I’ve only been pumping in the evening and morning and I try to get another session in in the afternoon. Normally I get anywhere between 8-12 ounces a day, if I’m lucky. And because of this he has been having more formula, which is fine! But with flu season coming up, I want him to have more from me to help his immune system.

So I guess my question is, has anyone been able to successfully increase their supply three months in? I’m going to get stricter with my pumping schedule and add in two or three more sessions

Eating oatmeal every morning really helped me with my second. I don't really have this issue with my newborn yet. But im strictly pumping/bottle feeding him since he was 4 weeks early and struggling to latch on.

My son loves the bottle more than my breast 😫 he gets so fussy when I give him my breast but has no issue with with bottle. As long as his eating I’m okay with it. I’ve been pumping and I hate pumping!!

boymom_4 @symantha_chandler, 🤔 I’ll try it and see
mimixtmn This is the exact reason why pumping and bottle feeding isn’t recommended until after your supply is
2sweetie It’s recommended to wait at least 4 weeks before introducing a bottle for this exact reason. The

Literally almost in tears. This is from three pumping sessions. Two with a manual pump and one on my electric pump. Trying to increase my supply and it’s slow going for sure. 😔

booooooooooooooooo Try power pumping every hour to increase
mrs.hibben Make sure you’re drinking enough water. It makes a huge difference in my supply. I can tell
mrs.hibben Honestly that doesn’t seem like a bad amount. Are you breastfeeding as well or just pumping?

What are ways to increase milk supply? Been pumping for my little baby in the nicu but I feel as my supply is decreasing maybe because of the stress 😓 thank you in advanced mommies.❤️

Anyone know ways to increase breast milk supply? I feel like I’ve tried everything and still only get 2-4 ounces every pump session.

symantha_chandler Put the baby to breast more. Salvia from the baby will help. Increase the flow.. I literally
jennatess I do all of these things daily, minus putting baby on the breast / pump after feeding
del_1569172153_unicornprincessx3 Your child should only be drinking 2-2.5ounces each time. also what you pump doesn't determine the amount
