I went to bbq restaurant last Monday and start having diarrhea and vomiting that night Tue, and yesterday got worst and I went to ER. I went to bathroom every10min. Vomiting and diarrhea, etc..I am 35weeks 4days pregnant.. baby is safe and doctor confirmed that i have stomach bug. Now I expect huge medical bills from yesterday..Shouldn I call the restaurant and ask for paying my bill? That place is the only meal that I have before. I got sick..what should I do..my husband said not to...but i think it s fair. I just dont know how to start...

It can take a few days after an illness has entered your body. You could’ve had the stomach bug before any symptoms prior to the restaurant. A stomach bug is just getting sick from germs. Not good poisoning and no restaurant would pay your bill for that.
I personally wouldn’t. Unless it was food poisoning, there is nothing the restaurant could do. And you being pregnant, your immune system is already really low.

Stomach bug is from someone who had it give it to you! Not from food at all unless someone nasty ass didn’t wash hands then they touched ur food. U mite be sol
But still it was from the restaurant..i am home bedrest almost 1month. Inly place i went or eat before i got sick was the restaurant..
@jina1, I know what u saying. But u have to think of everything you touched they won’t be able to do anything for ur medical bills unless u sue them.
If it's the stomach bug it may not have been the food. If they said it was food poisoning then id at least see what you could do. If it's food poisoning you could probably get that proof. Far as medical bills I doubt they will pay any of that.
Unless it was ruled food poisoning I dont think they'd give you anything.
Maybe...if they don't,,i will just do incident report to city.
@jina1, it’s not the city or the restaurants fault that you got a stomach bug. Food poisoning and the stomach bug are VERY different things.

@jina1, The restaurant won't do anything. A stomach bug isn't the restaurant's fault.
I would call, but I’m 99% sure they won’t pay your medical bills. They will offer you a $20 gift card or something.
You could try but usually before any business would be willing to even talk to you they probably would ask for proof that they caused you to become ill and it’s almost impossible because they would have to test the food.
You will most likely have to go about this in court so if that’s something you want to do then start the process but it’s going to cost you more money in the end and there’s no guarantee they will have to pay your hospital bill.

Well if they dont pay, it s okay. The meal was the only meal from Monday lunch i had before i got sick. Since then i couldn't eat or drink at all. I tried and vomiting and diarrhea immediately..

If the ER confirmed it was food poisoning, bring that info w you. But you said they called it a stomach bug which isn’t the same as food poisoning...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
