Mom tip:
The earlier you start putting baby down awake but drowsy (or waking them when you lay them down) to nap and sleep is better. Yes, it sucks. No, it doesn't always work. Yes, it may take 20 times of doing it for one nap...but they WILL go to sleep. Much much easier now than when they're older and can fight you.
I just lay him down in the bassinet and put my hand on his tummy. He's settling SO fast now.
No, I don't let my newborn freaking scream and cry.

I did this with my kids, they were on a schedule as babies and naptime has been a breeze for years and bedtime. We dont fight, we don't need story time, we dont lay with them, they dont cry or get up 50 times. It's so nice

My oldest is that way, but we started so late with him (4m for nap schedule, then no night feeds at 9m) it took forever and I was a stressed out wreck. I just didn't have a clue what I was doing with my first

I agree I never did this with my son and he was a horrible sleeper, I did with my daughter and she sleeps through the night.

Same here. I did that with all 3 of mine and all have been great sleepers. S
