I think a chihuahua (which we have, lol) could be just as dangerous.

I’m a firm believer in teaching the kids as much, if not more, than the pups.

Not grabbing, sitting on, pulling, ect.

We had boxers growing up and they were phenomenal doggies for kids. My grandma has two pits and they were just so sweet and cuddly. It all just depends on the owner. I would say wait until your little one is older - only out of full respect to the pup. ☺️

Yup any dog can be dangerous even if it’s trained .. it doesn’t matter trained or not they can bite an attack at any moment they feel like ... I’ve seen trained dogs bite their family in the face or legs.. anything can turn on u at any moment

I've had pits all of my life, they have all been the best pets!! So gentle. If u raise it to be a loving animal, it will be.

Pit bulls used to be bred as a "nanny" dog because of their gentleness and loving behavior. People turned them mean because they look aggressive and dangerous but in reality pitties are a great dog.

I've only ever met amazing loveable put bulls that are great with kids. Dogs are only what they are taught if they are taught to be gentle and love then they will be gentle and loving! I don't buy into this aggressive breeds bs

My pit bull never bit anyone my grandmas chihuahua had to be put to sleep for biting kids

It's not just pits. Any dog or animal could turn at any moment.

I have Pit bull Rottweiler mix dogs and they love my kids my son pulled on them and they still didn’t try and hurt them they love to play with my kids and the girl always has to be right by them like she’s there mom 😂

Any animal has potential to be dangerous. Some can come down to genetics. I have a dog with two different bully breeds in her along with two other dog breeds. She's a good dog. She is a bit hyper, as she is still quite young, but she is well behaved. We also took and take time to work with her. Work with your child on what is and isn't okay with an animal and also work with the dog. All of our dogs, regardless of gbeed, have been wonderful with the children and we teach the children what isn't okay with the dogs. I.E sitting on them, getting in their faces, pulling on them, and knowing when to leave them be.

If your son is rough you will need to teach him boundaries. Even the most patient dog has his breaking point. You don't want a kid jumping, rough housing, or being in a dogs face. Both pups and kids need to learn boundaries. How old is your son?

Ive only been around very sweet ones. If trained the right way I don't think they are dangerous around kids.
