I named my daughter Ava. And everyone intervened with what ti name her they told me thats an old name. My sister named my nephew Elias which is a Spanish name. It's different, but I love it. Like you said it's coming out of your vagina. You have the rights to name the baby what you please. ❤

I don't understand why they would make fun of that name. That's a really cute name it's different and unique on top of it but I don't think it's something the child would be made fun of for. I originally wanted to name my daughter a different and unique name but my father and I had to come to an agreement he didn't like the name I had.

Way I see it if it's yours name it what you want. Who cares about everyone else and what they think.

People are so rude & don't know how to follow the golden rule! I LOVE the name, don't even worry about it! No matter what the subject everyone has to tell you what they think you should do as a parent. You'll never be able to do anything right according to other people's standards. They be like..."Omg I can't believe you're not breastfeeding.", "How dare she breastfeed in public, that's so gross.", "Isn't he too old to be breastfeeding? When are you going to give him some real food?", "Discipline your child, they need a good spanking.", "I can't believe you spank your child, that's so terrible.", "How can you poison your child with vaccinations?", "You don't vaccinate your child? That's so irresponsible!". The list goes on and on and on. Like you said, that baby isn't coming out of their vagina, therefore their opinion doesn't matter. If I don't like a name I keep my mouth shut. 🤷‍♀️ Grow some thick skin, stand up for yourself & let it roll off your back. If they can't be respectful show them the door.

I named my daughter Willow and everyone said they would call her "willy" and honestly I think you could take any name and twist it if you wanted too so I really wouldn't worry about it.

When I told my family about naming my son Keenan they tried stopping me from doing it saying it sounds like Kermit. I still named him Keenan and he loves his name

Kids are a lot more brutal than making fun of names these days tbh. It's really not a bad name at all or something to make fun of. People may see it and call him Eli
