I wonder why she would call to tell you that?!?! The assistant teacher should have just introduced herself to your daughter. It’s normal for kids to be curious. Hell, there have been times when I can’t tell if a person identifies as a man or a woman. I know it’s rude to ask, but I would also hate to call the person by the wrong pronouns and offend. I’m not even sure how they expected you to handle that with your child. Are you supposed to say, honey if you don’t know if someone is a girl or boy, please don’t ask...just avoid all contact with them. Kids will be kids. My sister used to be a kindergarten teacher and had several kids ask her one year when the baby was going to come out of her tummy...she wasn’t pregnant 😆

Shes probably confused because the woman teacher dresses like a man.. and probably sounds like a female.. perfectly acceptable question..

She is a child, it’s a valid question. Definitely didn’t need to call home about it, maybe letting a parent know at pick up.
