When do you mama's start to take your newborn out and bout?

We did atbthe 1sr week. Had appointments for my other kids and one for the bew baby.
Only took for appointments and than waiting until my son was 3-4 months old . Plus it was cold in Florida didn’t want him sick
Ive taken her out since she was 4 weeks . just have had her covered well and her carseat coverd. Until she gets her first shots the end of this month.
I had to get out when she was 3 days old. Just kept her covered.
Yeah that's what I am scared of. Those ppl who just say ohhh and go in before I can stop them
@mommyof4plus2, you could baby wear and that usually keeps people away. I always just kept a light blanket over the car seat if I kept her in it.
@supermomof4, love baby wearing for this reason. With our wrap, you can only see part of my son’s head and he’s usually nestled into my chest. Most respectably people don’t reach for a women’s chest, even if a cute baby is there!
Took mine to Walmart at 5 days old and church starting at 9 days
Honestly when I had my daughter I had severe anxiety. I stayed with her in her nursery almost 24/7. I carried my laptop in there and made my then boyfriend bring me a desk in there. I remember I binged on Dawson creek right beside her, constantly checking if she was breathing if she was hot if she was cold etc. I was terrified. She was born in November and I remember when Thanksgiving came around me and the boyfriend has a knock down drag out fight because he wanted us to take her to his moms for thanksgiving. Man I was so scared. We ended up going and I was an emotional wreck the entire time. I cringed every time someone touched her. We had to do that again for Christmas. Other than that I only willingly took her to dr appointments until like 3 months. Things won’t be the same this time around because my baby girl is almost 5 and I’m now single so I don’t have the option to just leave the baby with dad while I go run errands. I’m just hoping my anxiety doesn’t pop back up.

Mines been out and about with me since 5 days old. It’s summer and as long as he stays in his carrier and nobody touches him, I think he’s okay.
When she went for her Dr appointment, but when she turned a week, I would take her outside to sit in the porch with me for about 15 mins, just for fresh air and scenery
@mommyof4plus2, after her drs appointment at 4 days old, we ran to the mall but I had a net over the stroller so no one can touch her & by a week she was going out more often. By time she was 2 weeks, we went to Applebee’s and after that it was a wrap lol. I just keep dirty hands away
@makeupmomplustwo_ Lol 👐🏼 A wrap Lol yeah I have a net thingy bc insects are bad in Florida so I keep em all out, but using it for ppl to stay out is a good idea Haha. Maybe it'll keep some germs at bay as well.
@mommyof4plus2 try a pacifier to hold the baby over till you get home after shopping
We only went out for doc apt and once in a while to the mil for the first like 3 months but that's mostly bcuz I had ppd bad. But prob a month or so if I didn't
I wait so long.
